TikTok is turning the tables on its competitors who have copied key features and presenting its own try tools and options to maximize engagement in the app. The latest experiment is a full-screen horizontal display in the style of YouTube. TikTok is also now copying other features from its competitors in turn:

• Carousel posts for still images, similar to Instagram's main feed post tools
• Longer video uploads that more closely resemble YouTube's posting options
• TikTok Now", which mimics the BeReal approach to posting
