Pinterest launches the Compassionate Search feature in eleven more countries. Since 2019, it has been activated in the US, the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, Singapore, India, the Philippines, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Brazil and Germany, and will now also work in France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Japan, Sweden, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Chile.

The function is designed to help users when they are feeling stressed, worried, sad or in a difficult emotional situation. Through the function, certain signal words are displayed with exercises that should help to cope with the situation. In this way, Pinterest is gradually becoming aware not only of the tastes of its users, but also of their emotional lives.
